Jan 29th: Grooming took place at Mt.Shark on Thursday with the normal double shift being completed. Since last weeks grooming 1-3 cm's of new snow fell at Shark and temperatures hovered around zero during both grooming shifts. Because of the warmer weather trails may be icy in the early part of the day with conditions softening as day time temperature's rise.
There is generally a good base at Mt Shark but a few hazards still exist, such as a few dips (drainage dips have been filled in but are still evident in places due to melting out, with unusually warm ground surface for this time of year), and possible exposed ground or rocks (on the two usual tight corners on Ursa Major and Hercules).
