Cross country skiing at Gold Bar / Gold Stick & Capilano

Gold Bar / Gold Stick & Capilano

Regions

We tried our best to do something with today's snow, unfortunately it was very wet and the moisture in the base was not easy to work with.

The conditions are considered bad to terrible and are barely skiable. There is still snow on the trails, but skiing is not recommended.

We will see if conditions change in the next day or so, but this might be our last attempt at grooming.

Hi all,

Our snow making efforts over the holidays have added a sufficient base to the existing loops. The freshly made snow has to dry for 1-2 days before it is groomed, so you will notice ungroomed sections of new snow that may be icy and uneven. We are going to resume grooming today (Dec 28) and hope to have improved trails soon. Caution when skiing today as the groomers will be out working.

Conditions on the trails are very poor with many bare and icy spots, skiing is not recomended.

Water Main Break at Gold Bar

There has been a water main break at Gold Bar with flooding around the pavilion. The trails are mostly unaffected but please be cautious around the pavilion and in the circle drop off. EPCOR and the ENSC groomers are on location. Thank you, Edmonton Nordic.
